What is the repositioning of eyebrows?

The repositioning means that hairs of the eyebrow can be relocated within the eyebrow area. New forms and special effects can be reached in this way. Through the repositioning, the specialist can possibly influence positively the facial expressions and therefore let it appear younger, more open-minded and friendlier.

The technology for extraction and transplantation on I-FUE method is performed with micro thin instruments and therefore very gentle for the patient. Complications are generally not to be expected.

  • Obsessive pulling out of eyebrow hairs (trichotillomanias)
  • Wound healing dysfunction like keloid formation

Are complications during the eyebrow transplantation to be expected?

The technology for extraction and transplantation on I-FUE method is performed with micro thin instruments and therefore very gentle for the patient. Complications are generally not to be expected.

Does the transplanted hair remain permanently?

The result of eyebrow transplantation is a permanent and long-term hair growth. Just like natively grown eyebrow hair, the transplanted hair can shed from time to time and regenerate naturally.

Where does the donor hair get extracted from for the eyebrow transplantation?

The extraction of the donor hair depends on the personal conditions of the patient. In case of a partial loss of only one of the eyebrows, we take the donor hair from the intact eyebrow and transplant them to the other, bald eyebrow. This reallocation of hair happens between the eyebrows.

This surgical technique is quite young and performed for the first time in 2008 by the surgeon Azar. A double thinning of both eyebrows, due to genetically defects, diseases or a frequently plucking, can be treated through a possible transplantation of head hair.

When are the results of eyebrow transplantation visible for the first time?

The transplanted hair will start to grow shortly after the eyebrow transplantation. However, most of the transplanted hair will unfortunately shed between the 3rd and 5th week after the surgery. The asynchronous growth of the eyebrows will not start until the second month after the surgery. Asynchronous means that the growth of every single hair varies. A strong synchronous growth of the hair usually does not start until the 5th and 7th month after the eyebrow transplantation. The final treatment outcome can be expected approximately 10 month after the treatment.

How naturally is the visible result of the eyebrow transplantation?

The transplanted hair will grow naturally, just like the original eyebrow hair and therefore achieve very natural outcomes. About half of the transplanted hair will have a stronger length growth than the natively hair. This can be matched through cutting the hair from time to time to the individually desired length.
